This section is for educating yourself on what you can expect from the beginning stages of the integration process of Yoga. Yoga means unity or to "yoke", this is an important aspect to remember. As you progress within the practice you find that "Yoga" is far more than just the physical movements. The physical movements are known as the Asana portion of the Yoga Lifestyle.

In the following videos below you will discover a variety of widely used asana movements. It can be helpful to educate yourself before coming to class to ensure that the natural level of anxiety that accompanies any new experience is as low as possible. Familiarize yourself with these movements to allow for fluidity to develop, bringing an embodiment of what it means to be present within the physical body.

Strong reminder, you don't need a certain level of flexibility or body type to start your Asana Journey. You are exactly where you are meant to be at this moment. Yoga is not about improvement, it is about acceptance. When we can accept where we are, we are naturally bound to improve.
